I have organised my schedule in a realistic way and at some points I have challenged myself to work harder and on a tighter schedule. My schedule has been organised so that I have time for my other subjects and there deadlines, and I have prioritised any exams I have coming up. I think that the main challenges in my schedule will be sticking to it and although I like to make sure my work is detailed, I must make sure I don’t overdo it, as this will affect other pieces of work. My main concern is running out of time so to avoid this I will complete any incomplete work in my free lessons or at lunchtimes, this way I won’t get behind on work.
My aims for this week were to complete my schedule, research into fonts and colour schemes and to begin planning my photo shoots. I have not completed my schedule yet, due to the amount of detail I am putting in and I didn’t give myself enough time to do this. I now aim to complete my schedule in free periods next week; however next week I will be prioritising revision- as I have an A-level geography exam. I have researched into the colours for each of my articles and have some ideas on which colours I will be using for each. This will help me later on when planning my photo shoots and layout of the page. I have started to get together ideas for my photo shoot for my health article about chocolate. During the remainder of this lesson I will produce a mind map of ideas- I think this will help me come to a practical and imaginative decision.
In terms of homework for this week I have completed 3/4 homework tasks. I completed my contingency plan in one of my free lessons, I think this really helped me come to terms with any potential problems I may have. I also created a new blog where I will be uploading my work on a regular basis; this was quick and easy to do. I also completed the task of creating a mood board of ideas for my photo shoot, this was useful and has given me some good photo shoot ideas. (see image below)
The one task I haven’t completed is my schedule, but as I said it took me longer than I anticipated to complete the first 3 weeks. (My incomplete schedule can be seen below)
